      Washington County is home to Vermont's Capital City, Montpelier.   While being the County with the State House was its early claim to fame, in more recent years Washington County has become almost as well known for being the home of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream.  The Ben & Jerry's factory holds tours at its Waterbury, Vermont facility.
      Washington County is also home to Sugarbush Ski Mountain, which in 2010 helped its host town, Waistfield,  take the prize of Best Ski Town in the East in Outside Magazine.
